Thailand Golf Association, Ministry of Tourism & Sports, NSDF, SAT, Singha Corporation, MBK Public Company Limited, and Riverdale Golf Club collaborate on a World Golf Ranking professional golf tournament named “50th Thailand Open 2022” to compete for the royal trophy of His Majesty King Rama IX with a total prize money of 8 million baht between September 1 and 4, 2022, at Riverdale Golf Club, distance 6,929 yards, par 71, Pathum Thani Province.
“Kwanchai Tannin,” a 36-year-old professional from Hua Hin, was delighted once in his lifetime to win the King Rama IX Trophy after showing form throughout four days, 23 under par, 261, winning the “50th Thailand Open,” receiving a prize money of 1.2 million baht, and moving up the rankings in All Thailand. Golf Tour rose to number 3, and he is the seventh Thai golfer to hold the King Rama IX Trophy.
“I am very happy because it is also a royal trophy. It’s like a once-in-a-lifetime honor of my life, and I feel very proud to follow along with two people from Hua Hin who have won this event before, Pro Suthep Meesawat and Pro Prayad Marksaeng. “I also have to thank my family for always encouraging me, and especially when playing poorly, they were discouraged but tried to make it through.” He said.
